Volunteer Program

Be the backbone of IEEE SMC KARE

Volunteers are the heart of every successful event. Help us organize workshops, manage check-ins, assist speakers, and create memorable experiences for hundreds of students.

What do volunteers do?

As a volunteer, you play a crucial role in making IEEE SMC events run smoothly and efficiently.

QR Check-in Scanning

Use the dedicated QR scanner to verify attendee tickets and log attendance in real-time with cryptographic security.

Attendee Assistance

Guide attendees to the right venue, help with registration queries, and ensure everyone has a great experience.

Event Coordination

Assist event admins with logistics — from setting up venues to managing session transitions and speaker coordination.

Real-time Monitoring

Track check-in progress live, report attendance numbers, and flag any issues immediately to organizers.

Community Building

Network with fellow IEEE members, gain leadership experience, and build your professional portfolio.

Flexible Shifts

Volunteer shifts are flexible — help at entry, during sessions, or during breaks. Every contribution counts.

How it works

01

Get Assigned

An admin assigns you as a volunteer for a specific event. You'll receive a notification with event details.

02

Prepare for Event Day

Review the event schedule, understand your role, and familiarize yourself with the QR scanner tool.

03

Scan & Verify

On event day, use the QR scanner to check in attendees. The system handles cryptographic verification automatically.

04

Monitor Progress

Track check-in stats in real-time. See how many attendees have been checked in vs total registered.
